Stay here.....Dummerston, VT

This weeks rental is full of history and is located in Dummerston, Vermont.  The name of this house is "Naulakha" and it is the home of the famous British Nobel Prize author and poet Rudyard Kipling.  This is a beautiful home with most of the original furnishings still intact. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, game room with pool table, fully equipped kitchen, gas log fireplace and wonderful grounds that include the first tennis court in Vermont.  The home is positioned on a hill with beautiful views of the Connecticut River Valley.  It is said that Rudyard Kipling thought of his ship shaped house as sailing across a meadow taking him on adventures of the imagination.   This house sat abandoned for 50 years before being purchased by the Landmark Trust USA in 1992 and has been painstakingly restored to it's original intention.  This fabulous historic home is for rent with prices starting at $275-$425 per night.  Reservations and availability can be made here.
