Making Room For More.....

Do you have rooms in your rental that have more than one bed? Is your rental large enough to accommodate large groups of guests?  I love the idea of maximizing space to allow for more guests and I'd like to share some tips on how to do this stylishly and effectively.  Instead of just filling a room with different beds, consider a room with multiple bunk beds. Creating chic sleeping quarters gives everyone their own space and privacy which is important when there are multiple people sharing one room.  When considering bunk beds, think about having them custom built to fit your space so you can add a little extra to each space.  Perhaps an overhead light for reading or a little shelf for your book, ipod etc.  Bunk beds can not only increase your rental rate but also enable you to cater to the larger groups and families that require more sleeping accommodations.  Here are some great Bunk Bed accommodations that are sure to please guests of any age.

Stay here.....Dummerston, VT

This weeks rental is full of history and is located in Dummerston, Vermont.  The name of this house is "Naulakha" and it is the home of the famous British Nobel Prize author and poet Rudyard Kipling.  This is a beautiful home with most of the original furnishings still intact. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, game room with pool table, fully equipped kitchen, gas log fireplace and wonderful grounds that include the first tennis court in Vermont.  The home is positioned on a hill with beautiful views of the Connecticut River Valley.  It is said that Rudyard Kipling thought of his ship shaped house as sailing across a meadow taking him on adventures of the imagination.   This house sat abandoned for 50 years before being purchased by the Landmark Trust USA in 1992 and has been painstakingly restored to it's original intention.  This fabulous historic home is for rent with prices starting at $275-$425 per night.  Reservations and availability can be made here.
